New website aches...

After organizing all of my past events for this new website, I discovered that I can't display them in an easy-to-read list. Wahhhh! So many fantastic shows in the past years that I would love to remember and share.

Would you be kind enough to update your software to allow for a "Past Events List"  instead of a calendar view?

The Uncensored Truth

When student artist, Gracie Holtzclaw was told by the Greenville Co. School District to remove her work from Artisphere Arts Festival, the good folks at The Ward Artist Studios decided it was time for a show dealing with censorship.

Please join us as we all learn to open our hearts, eyes and minds. Come see Gracie's now infamous piece, "Rape Culture" this Thursday, July 10, 2014 from 6-9pm.

Along with Gracie's work, are works by other local artists that have actually been officailly censored from other local exhibits. Some are the therapeutic creations of women as they worked through a personal or traumatic experience. Others are works by local artists who were inspired by the strength and courage of women who have endured 'unspeakable' pain.

A special KUDOS goes out to Suzanne Vitti and Kay Larch, two fantastic local artists that not only have the courage to approach controversial topics, but the passion and energy to organize this show.
